Initially I decided support guardian with scepter - torch and other such things leading into maxing the traits for virtues, however because of no trinity system I think I'd be more of a burden for my team. Secondly I thought of going into air-elementalist and go into a kind of battle mage thing based on the weapons of scepter - dagger, this would let me have fair damage with ranged attacks as well as being able to hop into the middle of the fighting and throw everyone around a bit. After spending hours upon hours of playing with the trait calculator I've finally decided I can't make a decision, but I'd rather not spend the whole time trying every single class in the last beta event and only beta event I will get to try, so could anyone throw me some advice.A:I think you need to let go of the trinity thinking. No such a thing as a burden for your team, since you will probably be helping them alot (which is quite the opposite from what you think). Guardians can soak damage and still support pretty well, if your team has some nice teamwork it will be very good. As for builds I wont look into them just because I feel like its all about the feeling of the game itself. Try and match.I love my air scepter elementalist, and I LOVE the concept of the close range ele with dagger, but to be honest its not my playstyle, so I just keep the scepter. What I think is there is alot of mini-classes inside each class, where it doesnt matter how much you like the idea of it, its all about trying it. As I said for my friend"Sometimes is hard, when you love a bow ranger (just an example) because bows are awesome but the skills of the axe thrower ranger just fits me like a glove"So, then, will you go with the bow ranger cause you think its awesome, or the axe that you find it most amusing? So my advice, if you pre-purchase (and are entitled to go to the betaweekend3) you should try all the weapons.
